Schon der Name ist vielversprechend: Politeia 2.0 – Democracy Reborn (http://www.politeia2.com/) knüpft mit seinem Namen an die griechische Antike an und möchte die Bürger (Polites) wieder aktiv an der Gestaltung der Demokratie und des Staates (Politeia) mit Mitteln des Web 2.0 beteiligen. Die Initiative befindet sich noch in einem sehr frühen Stadium, wurde aber auf einer Veranstaltung der Europäischen Investitionsbank vom Publikum als eine der besten gewählt (Quelle).

Die Vision: „The social innovation proposed envisions branding and developing Athens as a global centre for Democracy and Active Citizenship. A „Silicon Valley‟ that enables thinkers and scientists from around the world to share, exchange, develop and test ideas and processes that can be exported and used at the international level, for the benefit of citizens, communities, states and transnational entities” (Quelle).

Sicher ist der Weg bis dahin noch weit. Ich habe mich jedenfalls unter politeia2.com angemeldet und bin gespannt, ob sich eine solche vielversprechenden Idee umsetzen lässt.
